Description
This resource is a great exploration activity for Pre-Calc to introduce evaluating trig functions and a great transition to the Unit Circle. ASTC stands for All Students Take Calculus, or sometimes referred to as CAST.
It includes the following:
- Discovery activity where students plot the "same" coordinate in all 4 quadrants to write all 6 trig ratios (sin, cos, tan, csc, sec, cot).
- This can be used as a class activity, flipped classroom, independent activity after a quiz, etc.
- At the end, there is an opportunity to have a class discussion about what they discovered and you can create the ASTC poster with them.
An answer key is included.
