My passion in teaching started when I was working part time at a daycare center in Brooklyn, New York. Seeing these young children reminded me of how important it is for young minds to to have a good foundation in learning. It invigorated my interest in pursuing a Bachelors and then a Masters degree in Early childhood education from Brooklyn College.
After obtaining my Masters in 2014 I was thrilled to become the head teacher of the UPK (universal pre-k) program of the very same daycare. In 2015 I was fortunate to be given the opportunity to make an even greater impact by teaching in the New York Public School system. In addition I am also an early Intervention therapist, helping children with speech, behavioral and emotional issues.
