This fun activity has different uses. It can be used as a social studies project about tourism in Alberta, as a research activity, or as simply a fun year end project for students. This is an activity to be utilized during a The Hatchet Novel Study. Students will imagine what their ideal survival kit would be if they found themselves in a situation such as Brian's. This activity includes a project description and rubric, but feel free to adjust project goals to accommodate student needs.
