Teaching style
If you ever visit one of my classes, you will notice that it is far from perfect. However, I work hard to create a positive environment and classroom community, which are key for language acquisition. For students to acquire a language effectively, their environment needs to be stress-free yet challenging. They need to connect with the content, and the content itself should provide opportunities for learning about themselves and others. I strongly believe that our language classes should promote connection, communication and move away from stereotypes.

My name is Carolina, a proud Colombian where my accent was brewed. Currently, I serve as an elementary Spanish teacher at a school in Cambridge, MA. Over my career, I've taught students of all ages—from babies to adults—though high school remains uncharted territory for me. With extensive experience as both a teacher and a proactive learner, I've dedicated over two decades to teaching languages to children in the United States. I have developed materials to meet the needs of my students, realizing they could help others too. This journey led me to start sharing on TpT! I'm deeply passionate about language teaching and everything related to it!
