This project provides teachers and students with an interdisciplinary approach to the study of the famous novel Hatchet while learning about the science unit of Trees and Forests.
The project is designed to fit the needs of all levels of students, as it can be simplified for those who need less of a challenge, and more difficult who need more of a challenge with the extension included.
Students love the hands on approach to the project that allows them to demonstrate their understanding through their own choice of writing, drawing, building, etc. Each project ends up being unique for each student while addressing the requirements of the curriculum.
