This worksheet helps students break apart the story by selecting the major events that has occurred within the literature piece. Teachers can use this as a way for students to illustrate the major events, use sequencing to tell what happened first, next, and last. This helps students formulate their summary. By the end of each worksheet, the student would have completed a 3 sentence summary of the story with illus

About the store

Experience

I have worked with students of various ages and grades. Of the grades taught, I have spent 9 years in 3rd grade. My new journey is being a Transitional Kindergarten Teacher. I am currently loving being a TK Teacher to my wonderful 4 and 5 year old students! Outside of my classroom, I am a BTSA Mentor Teacher for the Orange County Department of Education. I love working with teachers and watching them grow professionally!

Teaching style

My teaching style consists of teaching to students and having students teach back. My classroom is always about communicating by sharing their ideas within their learning groups or the entire class. I believe the learning of students is half the teacher teaching and the other half is the students doing the teaching to each other. Hands on learning is crucial in my classroom.

My own education history

I earned a B.A. degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Literacy. In addition, I attained a M.Ed in Cross-cultural Education.

Additional biographical information

I am co-founder of a design company located in Southern California. We opened up Joey Leslie Creative (aka JLCreative) in 2010 to service the stationery business. Due to the demand of other graphic design services, we branched out to Creative Pear Paperie as the main company for the stationery business of letterpress printing. We have transformed Joey Leslie Creative into a general design studio which also includes the design of classroom materials.
