I have been blessed with experience in public schools, private practice, and hospitals. I have found myself making most of my own therapy materials and decided to share them with the rest of the speechies of the world! I have always been a creative creature and I love making unique pieces for others!
Teaching style
One thing that stands out about my teaching style is I try to incorporate as many skills into a lesson as possible. If we're targeting articulation, we're going to build vocabulary while we do it. If we're targeting descriptions, we're going to touch on pronouns or actions at the same time! My time with my kids is limited, so I make the very most out of each session.
I love to teach by doing first and then have a group discussion about what we experienced and saw. I try to do as many hands-on activities as I can with my kiddos to give them as much information about the target as I can.

I've received the Certificate of Clinical Competence and Four ACE Awards from the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
My own education history
I have obtained a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Science from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. Boomer Sooner!

When I'm not working, I like to paint, read, listen to live music, spend time with my 6 nieces and nephews and 4 great nephews, and travel as much as possible. Life is a never ending learning opportunity with the best classrooms having no walls.
