Whether you are hosting a Spooky Science day in October or an Insect Investigation in the spring, these templates provide a consistent, high-engagement routine for your small group rotations.

What’s Included:

  • 8 Total Templates: A mix of color and ink-saving black & white versions.
  • Numeral Recognition (1-6): Students roll a die and find the matching digit.
  • Subitizing/Quantity (1-6): Students roll a die and match it to the corresponding set of dots/items.

Interactive Ways to Play:

  • Spider Ring Fun: Use plastic spider rings to "catch" the numbers on the mat.
  • Playdough Smash: Laminate the mats and have students smash a playdough "bug" onto the correct circle.
  • Manipulative Match: Use themed mini-erasers (bees, ladybugs, spiders) or colorful counters to cover the quantities.
  • Sensory Integration: Place the mats on a tray with "webbing" (white yarn) or "dirt" (black beans) to enhance the thematic experience.
