Have students work individually, in pairs or in groups to sort the terms into three piles: the “I know it,” “I don’t know it,” and “I think I might know it” piles. Use this feedback to directly target student comprehension needs on the spot!

Prep two copies of this resource and have students work in small groups using the following procedure:

1. Teams work together at separate tables to match terms with math symbols (+ - x ÷ > < =) using two math card sets.
