Description

Paper Quilling is fun & my students love it. This art lesson works out great when I don't want to do another drawing-heavy lesson. Also, quilling is adaptable for many age groups & abilities, as well as an engaging way to celebrate throughout the school year. Make Halloween decorations, Christmas ornaments, Presidents Day Hats, Teacher Appreciation cards, etc!

In this packet, you will find the following:

  • Quilling Presentation (for teacher) Google Slides™️ & PDF versions included
    • Some slides are editable
    • Lesson Plan (with tips for differentiation)
    • Intro to Quilling Materials & Tools
    • Paper Cutting Guide (1/4 inch)
    • Using Notebook Paper for Practice
    • Quilling Inspiration Images & Artists
    • 2 completed project samples
    • Techniques Worksheet (color and B&W)
    • 10 Videos Demonstrating Quilling Techniques
    • 22 Templates (for any time of year)
    • Quilling Project Rubric (color and B&W) (editable)

Quilling, unexpectedly, can teach a number of skills not specific to art.

  • Make quilling projects as gifts & teach generosity and the value of spending time on something on someone else
