Celebrate Easter with this NO PREP fun fuelled mathematics competition for grades 6 and 7 and bring some easter joy into the classroom. Spring themed math word problems, involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals and percentages, will have your students using their mathematical problem solving and critical thinking skills. The activity is ideal for building teamwork and cooperative learning and your students will be engaged and excited about Math!!
Wacky Races is an action packed, team activity where the aim is to solve as many problems as possible in the allotted time. It can be used just in your regular classroom but even better when set up in a large space, joined with another class too for more fun. In a larger space, students have to race to gather their questions so increasing the level of excitement and competition!
It is a great activity to use on the last day of term or as a reward for class great behaviour. Once your students have played Wacky Races they will keep asking for more!! A fun way to end the term, with engaged students all working collaboratively as part of a team.
